How to Use The External Hosting Service

(3rd Party)

Don't have FusionHQ hosting? Don't worry. You are allowed to upload your website although you are using other hosting

service provider (ie. Hostgator or Bluehost, etc) to host your domain. Make sure that you already have the correct ftp

details (host, username & password and directory path) from them. Firstly, you need to create the 3rd party hosting

profile and verify your domains.

Here's how:

Step 1: Go to "Setup" and then "3rd Party".

Step 2: Create a profile at the "External Hosting" section.

Step 3: Select the "Connection Type". Fill in the FTP host, username and password. If you need to, tick the "Show" box to

see the password characters. Then click "Save".

Step 4: Next, go to "Domains & Hosting" and then "Manage Domains". Type in your domain in the "Add Domain" box and

click the button.

Step 5: Now, click "Verify" button.

Step 6: Select "Other hosting" option. Choose the hosting profile that you have just created from the dropdown. Enter the

"Remote Path". Some providers might call it "Root Path" or "Directory Path". If you don't know what it is, please contact

your hosting provider. Next, click "Verify" to save these changes.

Step 7: Your domain is now verified.

Step 8: When you're uploading your site, you will be able to choose your domain from the drop-down menu inside

"FusionHQ Hosting/Verified Hosting".
